AMiga DOSBOX
To be able to play all Windows games on AMiga DOSBOX (or any other version of the software) Microsoft simply need to put some source code to MS-DOS (remember IBM-DOS and the DOS to VIC20 and other Commodore or/and Amiga machines covered below) but not much (compared to Windows later versions ;-).
---the source code we want is NOT Microsoft's but other companies and open source mainly---

Amiga DevCon 2016 (exact date is October 6 to 9) in Sacramento, California, USA
AmiWest 2016 (October 7 to 9) is fast approaching and so is Amiga DevCon 2016 (October 6 to 7). The location is Sacramento, California, USA.
Please note, as always, the DevCon is a 100 % volunteer effort as is the AmiWest show itself.
A detailed tour of AmigaOS 4 with tutorials. We will be going through the Amiga Future Programming articles by Michael Christoph.
The anatomy of an Amiga disk device driver. We will be dissecting the p5020sata.device which is a SATA device driver used in the upcoming AmigaOne X5000. This isn’t just any custom made driver. It is melding between Linux libata and the traditional AmigaOS trackdisk device drivers.
Hans de Ruiter will be presenting his tutorials on Warp3D Nova. For anyone that wants to program for Warp3D Nova be sure to obtain/borrow/steal a card for the DevCon. See the Warp3D Nova press release for assistance on choosing a card.
Some information about the DevCon from the AmigaOS Documentation Wiki...
And actually so much more :-)

Blender version 248.6 released to AmigaOS + Så fungerar Apples skatteupplägg och så mycket betalar företaget egentligen + Sverige vill undersöka Apples vinst i EU
Blender version 248.6 released to AmigaOS
Welcome to Blender For AmigaOS 4.1
More information on blender for AmigaOS can be found here:
http://www.broad.ology.org.uk/amiga/blender/
More information on blender in general can be found here:
http://www.blender.org/
248.6 (September 2016 Update)
o When rendering videos from the sequencer, the audio would not reset
to the start of the section being rendered, but continued on from the
last section played, FIXED
o Some types of audio file did not play as Audio(HD) (notably WAV files)
as the codec did not set the channel_layout for them, now set to
AV_CH_LAYOUT_STEREO or AV_CH_LAYOUT_MONO for 2 and 1 channels when
not explicitly set by the codec.
o The JPEG2000 import code took the wrong channel for the alpha part
(original bug)
248.5 (June 2016 Update)
o Update libbffmpeg.so to the latest stable version off ffmpeg
Based on the 3.0.2 release this adds support for decoding many more codecs,
including AAC based audio formats.
libffmpeg.so has also been built with large file support.
o Resdesigned the sequencer audio to enable it to work with ffmpeg 3.0.2
o Reqworked writeffmpeg.c
o SDL Audio based playback will now reinitialise when changing mixrates
between
44.1 and 48. When scrubbing, update is immediate, when playing audio in the
sequencer, playback must be paused and restarted for the mixrate chnage to
take
effect.
248.4 (August 2013 Update)
o Added support for loading 32 bit ILBM images, (older ilbm formats were
allready
supported)
o Fixed handling of close screen, when a visitor window is using the screen at
program exit
FURTHER CHANGES: (June 2011 Update)
o blender no longer scan the contents of $PATH when trying to identify the
path to the executable. This would cause annoying insert volume requesters
if blender was executed like appdir:bldyn or even just foo:bldyn
o A further fix to crashes in low resources sitations. If the blender render
window cannot open then blender would crash, as it did no checks for a
succesful
open. It now contnues to render silently without a render display window.
o rendering the "stamp" could cause a crash due a unititialised interface
o Added a Amiga style version string. Version 248.3 To indicate
blender version 2.48 amiga revision 3
CHANGES: (May 2010 update)
o blender could crash in the GHOST_Window destructor if
some resources hadn't been allocated. (FIXED)
o Render Window Timer process now has ameaningful name
o Render Window Timer process now only uses 32Kb stack
o Absoulte paths were treating as relative on the command line
o Fixed a problem with loading from a library with a relative windows path
o Blender now sets it public screen as a public screen ...
o The animation player now starts on the same public screen as the main
blender program.
o The direction of the mouse wheel was reversed. NB If you liked the behaviour
of the mousewheel zoom in the 3D view, you can restore it by selecting
Invert Zoom, in the user prefs panel, "Views & Controls" tab.
o Fixed bug with relative paths, files in the same directory could not be
loaded correctly due to an extra '/' added during the path conversion
process.
o blender no longer attempts to find libtiff.so on a unix style serach path
o removed extraneous debug output
o ffmpeg compiled as a seperate shared object, altivec build of libbffmpeg.so
included
REQUIREMENTS:
AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1 or above. Update 2 or above recomended.
MiniGL 2.2 or above (2.2. should be provided with AmigaOS 4.1 Update 1)
2.4 is now recomended, but not required.
INSTALLATION
Copy contents to the destination of your choice.
If you have an altivec enabled processor then rename libbffmpeg.so_altivec to
libbffmpeg.so
replacing the non altivec default.
DEBUG OUTPUT TO CON:
This archive might be considered a 'very advanced beta' as such I have included
the
nonstripped version of the main exectable 'bldyn'. Also some extra "junk" is
printed to
the console. This is not too much more than the usual amount and should help
tracking
down any issues. If you wish to ingnore it >NIL: but beware some python scripts
require
console output.
USAGE
The main blender exectable is named 'bldyn' a example start script named
'blender'
with an associated icon (using the official blender logo) is provided. Blender
has a generous stack cookie set so you shouldn't need to set the stack.
Please eidt the startup script to suit your needs. If you need to find the
screen mode ID
then start blender from the command line like so
bldyn -M
then choose the screen mode you like. The ID will printed to the console before
opening
and you can then add to the script with
bldyn -MM<id>
Further tip if you run blender from it's own screen (with -MM as above) try the
-W
option as well to gain maximum workspace (borderless main window).
Start either from shell or by clicking on the start scripts icon in the
workbench
, please don't start bldyn itself from the workbench as this is not fully
supported.
do bldyn --help for more info on command line options
Amiga specific
o Command line Options
-M start blender on own screen, with mode requester
-MM<screenmode> starts blender on own scren with specified screen mode
-MN<screename> starts blender on named screen (must be open or defined in
sreens prefs)
With the above two oprion there must be no space between option and args
-G enable graphics.library based workarround for glDrawPixel bug on some
graphics cards
Only supports RGBA bits ATM, but does supports scaling. It handles alpha
blending but very crudely
so that icons etc look a bit more contrasty than the blender standard
(better than invisible though :-)
o Experimental Arexx Port PORTNAME "BLENDER.1"
This version of blender has an ARExx Port, with a limited but powerful
command set
The main power comes being asbe to call python scripts via the ARexx port,
giving
more options for automation integration etc.
LOADBLEND "FORCE/S,FILE"
Load blender project from specified file. FORCE prevents the requestsr
in
The Blender GUI.
SAVEBLEND "FILENAME/K,FORCE/S"
Save blender project to current file. FILENAME specifies a new filename
and FORCE
prevents the overwrite requester.
QUIT "FORCE/S"
Stops whatever blender is doing and quits.
STOP
Stops what ever blender is doing. Equivalent to pressing the ESC key.
Stops
Rendering, anim display, etc.
RUNPYTHON "FILE/K,VAR/K,SCRIPT,DEBUG/S"
Run a python script in the blender interpreter.
The default is to run a script passed in a string. As readargs is used
to parse
the ARexx commands this string must be escaped AmigaDOS style
eg "import Blender*Nprint dir(Blender)" where *N is a newline etc **
must be used
for *
FILE run python script from specified filename instead. No escaping
required here
VAR specify a python variable to be returned to ARexx as the RESULT
eg 'RUNPYTHON VAR="foo" "foo = 3 ** 4"'
returns 12 in result
The variable will be converted to an Arexx string so must be of a
suiatable type.
TOFRONT SCREEN/S"
Move the blender window to the front. SCREEN specifies move the screen
instead.
TOBACK SCREEN/S"
Opposite of above.
o File handling and paths
This version of blender uses AmigaDOS paths, throughout. However there are
still
a few quirks. For instance to get a list of drives you need to type the dir
"/" in
the blender filerequester
Blender should now handle non AmigaDOS paths in loaded blend files. And will
correctly
resulting mixed paths so long as the unix / windows bit is normalised (ie no
repeated
slashes etc.) and obviously the paths must be relative.
This is not as exhaustively tested so if you find a blend file that can't
load properly
becauase of paths let me know.
When saving a blend file it will only be "portabale" to another blender on
another OS if
all files that blender needs are in the same or subdirectories of the same
directory as
blender file.
Plugins scripts etc can be found in PROGDIR:.blend
Have fun!

Sverige vill undersöka Apples vinst i EU

/// SENASTE NYTT /// UPDATERING 160916

The setups or concepts Star Trek and The Feeble Files have birthday more or less today (fifty and twenty years)

10,000 games for the Amiga are available now on the Internet Archive
( + WHY ELECTRONIC ARTS IS COMMITED TO THE AMIGA )
More (from the intro movie) from the game The Feeble Files
One more sources about the >10 000 Amiga games playable directly on Internet Archive (but only a few days later the beta-test was down without any "new" games)
>10 000 Amiga games

More than or >10,000 Amiga games are now available to play free online in your browser. It’s another addition to the Internet Archive.
While the archive is arguably best known for making and storing copies of web pages, it also includes a wide range of multimedia files and applications. It already offers several thousand MS-DOS games and hundreds of arcade games to play in a browser via streaming.
The newest section has games from the Amiga computer, produced by Commodore in the late 80s and early 90s. While it didn’t perform quite as well as its predecessors in the “persuading parents it will be good for doing homework” stakes, it had particularly impressive – for the era – audio and graphic capabilities.
While not every major title is included, the collection has plenty of the games most associated with the Amiga, including Batman and Xenon 2. The downside, as with many emulators, is that some games are slow to load and figuring out the controls can be a challenge.

Updated information from the site Archive.org. After a beta-testing period, the emulated Amiga programs at Archive.org have been taken down for further development. Thanks to everyone for testing the Amiga In-Browser emulation package during the beta period, and especially a thank you to the Scripted Amiga Emulator (the official site with less titles to execute directly in your favourite browser ---- with AmigaOS/MorphOS/AROS/Linux/*) project, as well as db48x and bai, for all the hard work with this experiment.
GitHub is a meeting place for developers building the future of software.
AROS July 2016 Highlights
In July AROS core received a number of small fixes and updates from varius contributors, including Neil Cafferkey, Krzysztof Smiechowicz, Matthias Rustler and Stefan Haubenthal. Notably, this work included fixing the native GCC to correctly search for SDK paths. Outside of core AROS developments, an interesting offer has been made by the Apollo Team . They offered free Vampire accelerator cards to developers interested in improving AROS 68k. More information can be found in this thread. We've also seen a good portion of new applications being released for AROS. A number of games have been ported and are now available for download from the Archives . Next, SimpleMail mail client, has been updated to version 0.41. Finally, a retro gaming center program called EMULA has been made public by its author, Fabio Falcucci. EMULA is free to use and includes additional features based on subscription model.
Closing July's highlights, Pascal Papara released a new preview build of his AROS x86 distribution called AROS Broadway. More information can be found here. LINK | SOURCE
Commodore Amiga Ireland event - Jan 21st 2017
The second Amiga Users Ireland meetup is this January 21st, 2017 in the Prince of Wales Hotel. Bring your Amiga or come and see what we've tricked ours out to do. Some interesting talks, competitions, gaming, spot prizes and more. See attached and book early to avail of the early price!
See some new Amiga hardware demo'd as well as some recent software for our thirty year old computers like the new Dropbox client.
There will also be at least one stall/shop for Amiga hardware and software if you want to do some retro shopping - maybe 4MB of RAM for the misuss, sir?
Missed last year? See this: https://www.instagram.com/p/BH9fjD7jDQI
This year: Larger space, more events, spot prizes and a very special guest. Last year we had the untoppable David Pleasance and the surprise guest(s) this year will pique everyone's interest.
There is another surprise already in the post but you will need to be there on the day to find out what it is! I promise, you will not be disappointed. Last year, people left with Amiga wifi cards, games, badges and more.
Meet like minded folks and immerse yourself in the past and future of Amiga lovliness. We have grown to over seventy members and had twenty turn up on the day. Let's get as many together now and enjoy the new, better, more organised (!) event. Test your knowledge (and your luck) with the ten-minute table quiz.
Hotel discounts for those of you wanting to stay overnight.
Book before October to be able vote on what games and stands will be set up on the day. Keep an eye for further anouncement towards the end of the year. LINK | SOURCE
